The social network company's investment is part of a deal it struck with the city of Menlo Park for permission to almost double the number of employees at its main campus at the intersection of Bayfront Expressway and Willow Road.

The Salsa Labs organizing platform (and before it, Democracy in Action) was the creation of Lundberg and April Pederson. Salsa Labs went from a nonprofit at which Lundberg and Pederson sacrificed their salaries to a privately-held for-profit with thousands of clients using it as an integrated platform for “nonprofits [to] build, organize & engage a base of support with tools to communicate, fundraise, advocate & build community,” as stated on Salsa’s Twitter account.

Charity notebook: Jowonio wins $8,500 grant to buy technology that will help special needs children communicate | syracuse.com: he CNY85 Giving Project was created to engage the public in the foundation's 85-year anniversary celebration and draw attention to the many nonprofits that benefit Central New York. The online campaign invites visitors to its websiteto vote for a project once a day during the designated month.

The grant to Jowonio was the third awarded this year as part of CNY85. Previous winners have included Orenda Springs Experiential Learning Center and the Madison County Office for the Aging.

In the future, my guess is that when donating or shopping online we will be able to choose which wallet service we want to use with one-click – similar to how we now choose which credit card we want to use when donating or shopping online.

This opening body slam on the sector would be fine if Rooney offered any evidence to support such a generalization, but he doesn’t.

But have you personally ever hid a post from a brand you're a fan of? And have you, as a marketer, ever wondered how many of your fans do the same thing?

There are four types of negative feedback on Facebook ranging from undesirable, to worst for a marketer, starting with:
● Hide: hides a single specific post from the user’s newsfeed
● Hide All: hides all the posts by that page from the user’s newsfeed. This used to be known as “unsubscribing”.
● Unlike Page: “unfan” the page
● Report spam: user thinks your page is spam
